MEET MICHELLE
Hello! My name is Michelle and I am a portrait photographer from Southern California, now based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Depending on when you were born, you may recognize me from a Nickelodeon show called “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” or a few cameos and guest star roles on TV shows such as: “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Last Ship,” and “The Gifted” which can be found on my imdB. I got my start in the entertainment industry at 13 years old due to my mother’s dedication to helping me make my dreams of the big screen come true. Thanks Mom!!
Coming from a Korean-American family, college was a non-negotiable so I took a break from acting to attend UC Irvine where I discovered photojournalism. I learned the power of storytelling through my studies in Literary Journalism and studied under a Pulitzer Prize nominated photojournalist who taught me how to anticipate the future and be prepared to capture the moment all the while being stealthy as a fly on the wall. This began my journey into shooting all sorts of people and projects through a journalistic eye. I turned my newfound passion into a profession delving into weddings, fashion and headshots. I eventually met my then DJ husband, Kelly “Dlux” McCoy who was running Dlux Entertainment and we served dozens of couples together over the last decade before Kelly decided to go into full-time, vocational ministry as a pastor.
We have since moved to Utah with our two boys to serve and worship at South Mountain Community Church in Draper. You can see us there just about every Sunday! You can also follow me on Instagram at my personal or professional accounts.
I am thankful that you have read this far and hope that we get the opportunity to work together :)
